Fire Station #9 Restoration

Saturday, June 18 · 8:00am - 4:00pm
Adamsville Community, NPU-H
3501 Martin Luther King Drive. NW

Because We Can & Want To
Remembering 9/11/01, this is a way of saying Thank You to those First Responders who serve.
This is also a leadin to our 9/11/01 Memorial Build wherein we are going to seek out a local First Responder who is in need of home repairs and remember those fallen on that fateful day through not just our words but through our actions.

Though this project is not a house, it fits in with our holistic approach of Co...mmunity Improvement & Renewal.
There is a HEAVY emphasis on Green in this Project that you will see the reuse and repurposing of used building materials.
Recycling is good ReUse of building materials is Better.

There are several tasks to do Saturday that you can help with;
1. We're installing kitchen cabinets that were donated to The Fuller Center's 'ReClaim It Store/Warehouse', installing new stainless steel counter tops and doing some interior painting on the kitchen side.
2. We're building some gear lockers for the fire fighters out of repurposed metal racks, you can help put those together.
3. We're doing a minor facelift to the front of the Station which will include landscaping, planting, hardscape and accent painting led by HGTV's Kimberly Lacy and we're including use of recycled granite countertops into a walkway to the flag pole. That's Really Cool!!

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
